Telebirr payment not received
If your Telebirr payment shows as sent but the recipient hasn't received it, here's what to check.
Step 1: Verify the transaction
Get the CHQ or DF reference from your Telebirr SMS. Paste it into txna.me to check the actual status. The verification will show if the payment was successful, pending, or failed.
Step 2: Check the status
- • Success — Payment went through. The recipient should check their balance.
- • Pending — Payment is processing. Wait 30 minutes and check again.
- • Failed — Payment didn't go through. The amount should be refunded.
Step 3: Contact support
If the payment shows successful but the recipient hasn't received it, contact Telebirr support at 700 or visit an Ethio Telecom office.
